March 26, 2020

Dear Plymouth Christian Preschool Families,

The PCS School Board would like to sincerely thank all our families and students for your patience and flexibility during this extraordinary time in our world history. You are important and integral to the PCS family and for everyone, we understand that your lives have changed dramatically.

To help support our preschool families in the upcoming months, we know the needs to meet the demands of continued work while knowing your children are physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually safe during this crisis is paramount. With that in mind, Plymouth Preschool will open on April 1, 2020, with restricted hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for a limited number of full-time care children. This represents a conditional opening based on a minimum enrollment of twelve students (two classes) to remain operational for essential childcare according to the current state guidelines. If your child is not returning on April 1st, your child’s enrollment status from now throughout the summer months will be secured. We ask that all families provide a two week notification of your child’s return date. We will allow exceptions if your employer’s notice is shorter than two weeks. Please keep in mind that all families still need to register for the 2020-2021 school year and we are extending the due date to May 31, 2020.

Director Marissa Orona has been working non-stop to ensure specific protocols are in place for daily sanitation and wellness checks in order to facilitate the return of our precious preschool students. A revised “Wellness Policy” for all students, staff, and visitors will be uploaded on our website by March 31st, to help keep everyone on campus healthy. As always, we appreciate any donations of supplies such as disinfectant spray or wipes, non-latex gloves, and tissue.

During this uncertain time, we recognize that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We are extremely thankful that sixty-four years ago, Plymouth Preschool began what has become a strong and sustained presence in our community. An integral part of Plymouth Preschool’s continued strength is its staff. The PCS Board would like to commend and thank the school administrators, teachers, and staff for their unwavering commitment to the health of our PCS children and families. They are truly the Lord’s servants, using their talents for God’s glory.

The PCS Board again expresses our most heartfelt thanks to you for your flexibility, patience and support in uniting with us to endure the impact during this pandemic and to keep our school open.

In God’s Hands,

Plymouth Christian School Board
